Blue Cabin Pottery offers Clay Classes, Workshops, and Private lessons, Located in Cortland Ohio.

History

Work began on the Pottery studio in February 2022. The small building had sat abandoned and neglected for many years. The studio required a near total demo and renovation, including all new electrical, plumbing, insulation, drywall, roof, windows etc. as well as the addition of a new kiln room. At that time most of the work was made possible by donations, volunteer labor and the use of upcycled materials.

Students were welcomed for the first time nearly 2 years later in October of 2023. Since that time Blue Cabin Pottery has seen constant growth in classes, workshops and a growing community of artists. There has also been support through donations of kiln bricks and shelves to build the nearly complete gas kiln, funds for a Raku kiln, Bricks for a small wood kiln, barrel kiln, the addition of a brand new Amish built work shed and materials for the kiln yard roof.
